SAG HARBOR CINEMA:

Movies that bring the world to Main Street

The Sag Harbor Cinema was nearly destroyed in a fire in December, 2016. The Sag Harbor Partnership, after months of fundraising, purchased the Cinema in 2017. The Sag Harbor Cinema Arts Center was created in 2017 to take charge of its rebuilding and operations.

The Sag Harbor Cinema Arts Center will restore the Sag Harbor Cinema and preserve the showing of independent, foreign and documentary films on the East End of Long Island. Its establishment will help preserve Sag Harbor's historic Main Street. Education, programming and outreach for people of all ages will ensure that the Cinema is here for future generations.

Quinn Family Challenge Donation

The Sag Harbor Cinema is honored to announce a touching new $12,500 donation challenge from Joe Quinn. Joe is the president of Aran Construction of East Hampton, and has gifted this donation on behalf of his daughters Madeline and Olivia, who wish to honor the memory of their dear young Irish cousin, Cian Neary, tragically taken from the family in September by lymphoma at the age of 15. We are particularly moved by this meaningful generosity on the part of the Quinn family because of our educational focus.

Supporters of the Cinema may donate and join in honoring the Quinn family by going to sagharborcinema.org/donate or by sending a check to:

Sag Harbor Cinema Arts Center
PO Box 152
Sag Harbor, NY 11963

with "Quinn Fund" in the memo field.

THE FINAL PHASE: GETTING READY TO OPEN

THANK YOU FOR YOUR HELP IN SECURING THE THEATER!

We have raised enough funds for basic construction, and are now raising funds for the expansion of the 3rd floor with VR/classroom space, replication of historic fixtures, projectors and advanced sound system, equipment for concession stand, café, and offices, salaries for administration & staffing, and making the Cinema OPERATIONAL.

Please keep your generous, 100% TAX-DEDUCTIBLE donations coming!

If we can raise the needed funds, the cinema can re-open this fall, 2019.
